Volker Schlegel, a career diplomat, is now a senior advisor at Interel.
Volker brings his experience as former state minister of Hamburg to his present role. He served as Germany’s ambassador to Singapore, Mali, Senegal, and Jamaica. He was also economic representative of Germany in Washington, D.C.
In addition, he has substantial experience as a lawyer and industry executive, having represented the global steel producer Klöckner Humboldt Deutz for over four years.
Volker holds degrees in law and economics from Bonn, Freiburg, and Köln.
