Rositsa Velkova

Rositsa Velkova is a member of the IGP global team and is founder of VMC, a government relations and strategic communications firm based in Sofia.

Prior to establishing VMC, Rositsa worked as a managing partner for the Burson-Marsteller affiliate in Bulgaria, and headed accounts with multinational and local clients including Philip Morris, Lufthansa, SAP, Mobiltel, Roca, PORR, Ericsson, and Porsche.

Rositsa is the founder and national coordinator of the “ICT Broadband Platform for Bulgaria” initiative, whose members include SAITC, the Ministry of State Administration, the Ministry of Finance, Mobiltel, HP, Siemens, Kapsch, BTC (Bulgarian Telecommunications Company), Alcatel, Ericsson, Microsoft, BAIT (Bulgarian Association of Information Technologies), ICT Cluster, Bulgarian ITC Agency, CRC (Communications Regulation Commission), and Evrokom Cable.

She holds a master’s degree in national and world economics from Sofia University, as well as executive MBA degrees from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
