Patrik Zoltvany, a member of the IGP global team, is managing partner at CEC Government Relations in Bratislava. He is also a senior partner at Fipra Slovakia and a board member at the Jenewein Group.
Patrik is a frequent speaker on issues related to the impact of EU membership at international fora. He is a member of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) in Brussels, where he serves as member of the REX (external relations) and TEN (transport, energy, infrastructure and the information society) sections. In the EESC, he is a member of the Western Balkans contact group, where he assists countries in the region with EU membership preparation. He is a vice chairman of the board of the think-tank EPPP, or the European Public Policy Partnership.
Earlier in his career, Patrik was EU affairs adviser to the Minister of Industry, and a member of the EU affairs committee at the National Union of Employers, as well as consulting with EU institutions and various business, public sector and NGO clients. Patrik was heavily involved in assisting the business sector in Slovakia in preparing for EU membership. As a member of the Team EUROPA run by the European Commission, he was also involved in the campaign for EU membership.
Patrik started his career in the area of pre-accession projects as a project manager and consultant. Later, he developed a wider EU consulting capability, advising on EU structural funds, regulatory affairs, competition, state aid, external trade, EU institutional functioning and capacity building. Prior to this, Patrik was a researcher in the European Parliament, conducting political and economic research on candidate countries.
Patrik speaks fluent Slovak, Hungarian, English, and Croat, as well as basic French.
