Nicolas Gyss joined Interel in 2019. He is an Associate Director in Technology for the European Affairs practice in Brussels.
Nicolas is an experienced public affairs professional working in Brussels since 2005 within European institutions, public affairs consultancies and in-house. He worked six years in Brussels-based public affairs consultancies and served as director of EU affairs at Telenor Group, representing the company with the European institutions and industry associations. In the European institutions, he was a policy officer at the European Commission’s DG CNECT where he worked on cybersecurity, media and telecom policies. He also served as assistant to the Director General.
At Interel, Nicolas advises individual companies and professional societies on digital and technology related policies and regulations in particular.
A French national, Nicolas serves since 2008 on a voluntary basis as Secretary General of the European sport policy think tank, Sport and Citizenship.
He holds a degree in political science and a master in European public affairs from Science Po Strasbourg, and a master in management from Robert Schuman University (Strasbourg).
Besides his French mother-tongue, he is fluent in English and has a basic knowledge of German
