Lee Whitehill is a director in Interel’s London office. He specialises in political and corporate communications and is currently focused on industrial strategy and technology, advising on public policy lobbying, public relations, and crisis management.
Lee is also director of the European Small Car Manufacturers Alliance, a trade association run by Interel that advocates on behalf of luxury car brands, including Aston Martin and McLaren. Other global brands Lee has worked with include Coca-Cola, Red Bull, Nissan, Airbus, and Lockheed Martin. He also provides pro-bono support for the Dyspraxia Foundation.
Lee comes from a Labour background and has been a candidate in the Scottish Parliament and has worked on Labour’s successful campaigns in 1997, 2001, and 2005. He is a former trade union official and was head of campaigns and media for Unite. At Unite, he acted as official spokesperson for the general secretary, who handled national industrial campaigns across 32 industrial sectors, including defense and aerospace, aviation, health services, and financial services.
A former winner of the Private Sector Public Affairs Campaign of the Year, Lee holds a BA Hons degree from the University of Strathclyde. Outside of work, he is a trustee of a local arts charity.
