J. Bruce Wardle, CAE
Bruce Wardle joined in 2017, when Interel merged with Association Management Group (AMG), the association management company that he owned. The merger made Interel’s Washington, D.C., office one of the leading association management companies in the country.
At Interel, Bruce manages client services, including contracting, governance needs, bylaw revisions, and fee negotiations. He also helps clients facilitate and implement their strategic plans, and consults with clients on nonprofit finance and budgeting needs, board roles and responsibilities, insurance, and tax and IRS issues.
Prior to joining AMG in 1993, Bruce served as executive director of the American Academy of Audiology, was a special consultant to the U.S. Department of Education under Secretary Lamar Alexander, and held the title of vice president, marketing, for the American Resort Development Association (ARDA).
Bruce is an active member of PCMA (the Professional Convention Management Association), the AMC Institute, and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), where he previously served as chair of ASAE’s AMC Council. He is also a member of the Public Affairs Council, and in the past served on the associates board of the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts.
A resident of both Arlington, Virginia, and Midway, Utah, Bruce is an accomplished skier and hiker. He has hiked over 40 of the U.S.’s 60 national parks, with the remainder on his bucket list for the future.
