Genevieve Young is a member of the IGP global team and is president and chief operating officer at Global Public Affairs, a strategic communications and government relations firm in Ottawa. She manages a range of clients requiring strategic counsel primarily for transactional initiatives, such as acquisitions, corporate and project financing, and overcoming regulatory impediments.
Genevieve is responsible for Global Public Affairs’ Transportation, Infrastructure & Communities practice group. For over a decade, she has developed and executed strategies involving railway policy, port terminal infrastructure, commercialization initiatives, safety and security programs, infrastructure funding, regulatory and permitting approval, and corporate taxation issues. She has represented the full range of Canada’s leading players in this sector, including scheduled and charter airlines, courier and logistics providers, port and airport authorities, small municipalities, not-for-profits, tourism operators, vehicle and boat manufacturers, passenger railways, commodity shippers, terminal developers and operators, and security technology providers.
She holds an M.B.A. from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
