Elias Papadopoulos joined Interel in June 2017. He is Associate Director in the Technology team for the European Affairs practice in Brussels.
Before joining the company Elias worked for over three years in a London-based public affairs agency, where he led on client work in the EU technology and food and drink sectors. At Interel he focuses on technology and FMCG clients, supporting their public affairs activities by devising tailored engagement strategies, providing intelligence and analysis, taking forward meeting programmes and drafting supportive communication materials, such as position papers, consultation submissions and briefing notes for policy makers.
Elias has completed the European Commission’s Blue Book trainee scheme, where he worked on the management of public consultations for DG Agriculture and Rural Development. He combines his EU experience with a deep knowledge of the UK political system, having also worked in UK public affairs, as well as in market research, the think tank world and opinion polling. He regularly comments on UK and European political developments for Greek media.
