Brecht started working at Interel in 2018. Before joining Interel, he took a Schuman Traineeship at the European Parliament, where he was working for DG-EPRS, specifically focusing on issues related to the EU budget.
Brecht holds a Master Degree in Business Economics, which he obtained at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (2016). He continued his studies with an Advanced Master in European Politics and Policies at KUL with one semester at the Corvinus University of Budapest (2017).
Besides his native Dutch, Brecht is fluent in English and conversational in French and German.
