Interel Marks Milestone with Opening of US Headquarters in Downtown Washington, D.C.
Relocation Provides Sizeable Presence in the Public Affairs and Association Management Capital of the World
Washington, D.C. (October 19, 2018) – This week European-based firm Interel, the largest independent public affairs and association management consultancy, moves from its offices in Tysons Corner, VA to the heart of downtown Washington, D.C. Interel’s new US headquarters is located at 1420 New York Avenue, NW just one block from the White House.
The relocation and consolidation of its existing D.C. office at this new central address in downtown Washington is the culmination of a process to integrate the company’s recently acquired firm, Association Management Group, early last year. Now together as Interel US with nearly 100 employees, the Washington office is one of seven Interel offices worldwide as well as the hub of the Interel Global Partnership, a network of public affairs affiliates covering 70 countries worldwide.

The new Interel US headquarters at 1420 New York Avenue resides in the historic Commercial National Bank Building and overlooks the Treasury Department. The move is unconventional for Washington, countering the trend of companies moving their headquarters to city suburbs. Interel’s custom-designed new space is efficient, collaborative, and profiles Interel to lead the market.
