Positioning global events

ISN (International Society of Nephrology) Nexus Symposia are flagship events for ISN, attracting some 600 researchers and practitioners from around the world. On the occasion of ISN’s 50th Anniversary, the society organised two Nexus Symposia only months apart: one in Kyoto (Japan) and one in Geneva (Switzerland) –where ISN’s first meeting took place in the 1960’s. Organizing similar events so close to each other raised challenges in relation to participation, marketing and sponsorship.

How we helped: We advised ISN to use the Kyoto meeting as a platform to promote the Geneva event and anniversary celebration. We coordinated the production of a 50th Anniversary movie which was premiered in Kyoto. This created a buzz and generated excitement around the Geneva symposium and associated 50th anniversary celebrations.
