Interel’s crisis management campaign wins ICCO Global Award

Interel is delighted to announce that it has won the World’s Best PR Campaign – Crisis & Issues at the ICCO Global Awards 2016 for its work with D’Ieteren Auto in Belgium.

Interel’s Belgian team was recognised for delivering truly exceptional results for D’Ieteren Auto in its ‘Volkswagen and emissions: defusing the crisis in Belgium’ campaign in the face of what was a very public crisis.

Providing impact through the integrated management of stakeholders, we developed strategies for customers, politicians, car dealers and the media in order to provide strong customer care and restore confidence. We also organised an event at the D’Ieteren motor museum in Brussels to raise awareness amongst CEOs of how the crisis was handled and emphasising that when managed correctly it is possible to limit the financial impact – a significant measure of the success of our campaign.

This has been a remarkable year for Interel in which it has had a number of exciting global client wins, including Alibaba, General Mills, the Optical Society of America, Taser, Viking Cruises and Home Away, and rolled out innovative new products, including a video advocacy toolkit.

In addition, we won SABRE Benelux Consultancy of the Year earlier this year in recognition of the fact that we are one of the few Brussels-based consultancies which has truly gone global.
