Senior Consultant – Health and Food

We are looking to recruit a Senior Consultant with an expertise in health and food to provide strategic input and lead on project implementation for our growing health and food business with a portfolio of global pharma companies, professional medical associations, health technology companies and patient groups.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and expertise:

  • University degree or equivalent
  • 5-6 years of relevant professional experience in European Affairs
  • Excellent written and spoken English and fluency in at least one other European Language
  • Sound knowledge of the decision-making process in the European Union
  • Strong knowledge of EU health policy and good knowledge and relationships with EU stakeholders
  • Proven track record in health advocacy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated/independent, proactive, flexible and reliable
  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively manage multiple tasks and workload
  • Experience with Zinc approval process would be favourable

 

 The Senior Consultant’s responsibilities will include:

Client Relations and Key Account Management – 80%

  • Manage a portfolio of key health accounts with shared responsibility for client relationships, strategy development and service delivery in conjunction with the Partner responsible for Health
  • Drive client communications and develop good working relationships with key client personnel
  • Represent specific clients and professional organisations towards the EU Institutions, media and EU stakeholder community
  • Produce written materials including strategic plans, policy papers, reports, press releases, and presentations in support of client programme implementation
  • Execute communication, organisation and public affairs activities including outreach programmes, communication and profile raising campaigns, organisation of events

Business development – 10%

  • Contribute proactively to the development of new business leads
  • Lead on the development of credentials, proposals and presentations for new business pitches
  • Contribute to organic growth of existing client engagements through development of projects
  • Actively network to develop personal profile and increase the visibility of Interel

Leadership and People Development (10%)

  • Provide appropriate feedback, coaching, mentoring and support to direct reports
