Opower is a market-leading provider of smart meters, helping consumers across the world to understand and minimise their energy use. Opower wants to expand in Europe and realises that to do so they need to be part of a policy debate which is shaping the market in which they will operate in the future. They sought Interel’s advice on influencing and participating in the debate on demand (Energy Efficiency Directive) and the rules applying to operators (Data Protection Directive).
